I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Thanks for the link, Sumi, that's very cool.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

The writers are good at writing in little stuff that you might not catch right away... backgammon "light and dark" remark by Locke and the black and white stones on the dead woman. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense on it's own, but put together with other things equals a "wow".

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

In the last 24 hours, cleo's link to "lampshade hanging" on the wiki has generated over ten thousand hits from her recap. We are witnessing the birth of a fan-star.

ION:

Sure would like to see some discussion of Kate's "You know where I am, too." line.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hurley pissed me off this ep. First, still calling Jin "the Chinese guy" and then playing his discman while Charlie was playing guitar. Rude! I wonder when will get his story.

On rewatch, Charlie is not performing with his guitar, he's sort of touching it and tuning it, and strumming it and generally cooing over it. It's not like Hurley is ignoring Charlie serenading the gathering throng.

Hurley might not have heard the Korean bit, either. It's awfully windy on the beach, and he wasn't close by. In fact it looks like he may have just came over when Sayid talked to him.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Kate wants Jack-lovin'.

That was more a statement than a discussion, huh.

I find it interesting how the actress playing Sun looks younger in flashbacks to the beginning of the relationship.

Well, yeah. "You checkin' me out?" is a message even I might pick up on. I guess my curiosity is around whether she is convolving his position on cave life with his inability to sense the anvil over his head, or not. It seemed a bit petulant, to me.

Makeup versus none, and a softer focus, but, yeah, it really did work.

Longer, straighter hair helps give a youthful look, too.

Ageing and de-ageing Hollywood makeup is pretty standard stuff. Most makeup school graduates can make anybody look ten years younger or older with ease. More than that and it gets a little tougher.

For precisely the reason that just about any given movie or TV show can require a flashback like that.

Generally? I've seen so many times where it didn't work as well as it did on Lost.
