OMGWTF Sawyer = Spike! Too true. Scarily true. The acting and extreme dangerous hottitude make me love them even when their behavior makes me want to kill them.
Also from upthread, TomW brought the funny with the Black Bear's journal:
To do: mourn my friend Poley
Poley! Reminds me of the Simpsons (Stampy the elephant, Pinchy the lobster), Bwah ha ha ha.
This morning as I was walking the dog I was thinking, re Kate, "Go falafel! Choose falafel!"
Oh, sure, just because you're killing yourself with work, that's supposed to be some kind of excuse...
Apparently Yunjin Kim originally tried out for Kate -- but didn't get the part -- but the producers like her so much that they wrote Sun for her.
This one, "Walkabout" and "Pilot II" were absolutely top-notch IMHO.
It's nice that we'll have some kickass episodes to look back on during the show's sucky seasons.
Like nobody else was thinking that.
Thanks for the link, Sumi, that's very cool.
The writers are good at writing in little stuff that you might not catch right away... backgammon "light and dark" remark by Locke and the black and white stones on the dead woman. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense on it's own, but put together with other things equals a "wow".
In the last 24 hours, cleo's link to "lampshade hanging" on the wiki has generated over ten thousand hits from her recap. We are witnessing the birth of a fan-star.
ION:
Sure would like to see some discussion of Kate's "You know where I am, too." line.
Hurley pissed me off this ep. First, still calling Jin "the Chinese guy" and then playing his discman while Charlie was playing guitar. Rude! I wonder when will get his story.
On rewatch, Charlie is not performing with his guitar, he's sort of touching it and tuning it, and strumming it and generally cooing over it. It's not like Hurley is ignoring Charlie serenading the gathering throng.
Hurley might not have heard the Korean bit, either. It's awfully windy on the beach, and he wasn't close by. In fact it looks like he may have just came over when Sayid talked to him.
