Books.
Huh.
This thread is a focused discussion group. Please see the first post below for the current topic and upcoming book discussions. While natter will inevitably happen, we encourage you to treat this like a virtual book club and try to keep your posts in that spirit.
By consensus, this thread is reopened specifically to discuss Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It will be closed again once that discussion has run its course.
***SPOILER ALERT***
Books.
Huh.
And a thread name, no?
Yay. I care not about the name.
When do we want to start gathering suggestions?
I think first we're going to do some naming?
Personally, I liked the "One Book" tag, and the computers replacing books name.
That's just me.
The Buffista Book Club 1: It should be smelly.
The Buffista Book Club 1: It should be smelly
That works, too! We've really got a plethora of Giles' quotes for future titles.
I like JenP's slug or description or whatever it was.
All the names are good, I don't care which one we go with.
Do we have to decide what sort of books to start with or do we go straight to suggestions?
I think we go straight for suggestions, though I would suggest that we don't try like, "Rememberance of Things Past" right off the bat.
ETA- Smelly and the plug are fine with me.
Yes, how are we going to handle the whole suggestion process. Do we make any ground rules, other than say, it must be written in a language we can all understand and must not cause the proliferation of bunnies if read aloud?
Because, I got one.
Is there some randoming thing. 'Cause I'm thinking we give, 2-3 days to let people volunteeer to pick. Random up their names and then go from there. Whoever was going to do the randoming probably shouldn't be in the running for a book- not that they would unrandom the randoming, but that way there'd never even be a question.
I have a book I'd like to suggest, but if no one wants to do the randoming- I'll do that.
