No, it's shiny! I like to meet new people. They've all got stories...

Always Anti-fascist!

My branch doesn't have one. Or it's out.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

My branch has a copy, and it appears to be in. I'll have to stop by and see if that's true or if their computer system has gone psycho again.

Visilurking

My branch doesn't have one. Or it's out.

My branch is tiny, with at most 2 books from any given author. 98% of the books I borrow there come from other branches in the same library system. I just go online, search the online catalog, hit the hold button, choose my hole-in-the-wall branch, and two days later it's waiting for me at checkout.

Maybe your branch can transfer the book for you from another?

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Inter-library loan associates to the rescue!!!

(Had to give a shout out to Mom once again.)

Let me just say that popularity with people on public transportation does not equal literary respect. --Jesse

That's what I do too, Wolfram. My library is also set up very bizarrely, so sometimes it's easier to get it at the hold desk, if I want something specific, rather than browsing for general reading.

I can't even.

I read it in about a week's worth of giving it half an hour here and there, which is about how I manage to read for fun these days. It was a pretty quick read, I thought. I'm looking forward to the discussion.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I finished re-reading it last night, & I'm also looking forward to the discussion.
