There's a Wallace and Gromit movie coming out this fall! Wheee!!!

A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. WOOHOO!
That's why Gromit sponsored the on-line video coverage of Westminster.
Have finally seen Velvet Goldmine. Man, there's a lot of pretty in that film. Pretty pretty pretty. My crush on Ewan McGregor remains at full strength, Toni Collette is fucking gorgeous, and I continue to think Christian Bale is Creepy McCreeperson. Also, Brian Molko is adorable.
Really, there's not much else to it, is there? But so pretty.

That's gonna help with Batman.
That's gonna help with Batman.
Oh, definitely. I'm looking forward to that.
What? No mention of Jonathan Rhys-Myers? He's the one who really brings the pretty, in my opinion.
I may be old, but I'm not blind, and I'm on HRT so even though finding him aesthetically pleasing in every way makes me a bit of a chicken hawk, I don't freakin' care.
Mmmmm.....Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.....mmmmm......
Unfortunately, the DVD doesn't have any of the extra goodies I've come to need and cherish.
Oooh! And just looking over at IMDB, I see JRM is going to be in (apparently) a live version of The Last Unicorn (as Schmendrick). Yay!
Super Troopers, which I expected to be dumb and not funny.
Plei is me and I am Plei and we are all together. Or something.
I saw the promos for Super Troopers when it made it to the cinemas in SA but it looked moronic. I then happened to be at a mate's place when it showed up on cable TV and we ended up kacking ourselves watching it. Very funny and much more intelligent than I'd expected.
Really, there's not much else to it, is there? But so pretty.
Well, in addition to being an interesting take on what became of the glam era when things got a touch more conservative in the 1980s and certain people started to disavow their previous sexual claims, I think it's like a modern cross of Casablanca and Citizen Kane...
(Though it's possible that the fact that I've owned the DVD for five years and used to watch it at least weekly has me adding depth to it that's not really there.)
I love that movie.
Just watched The Station Agent. I liked it a lot, though I'm not sure if I liked it enough to own it. It's a sweet little picture, though, and the actors all had great chemistry.
JRM as Schmendrick, not the Prince?!? That's just wrong. Schmendrick should be someone older, like Hugh Laurie.
