Wow. That Ong movie looks... awesome.

Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
HHGTG still -- I wonder if this is pre-effect, since Zaphod's just got the one head. Does anyone know how many books it covers?
Just the first, I think. I love the design of Marvin, although my friend commented that the designer clearly took the phrase "brain the size of a planet" literally.
My understanding is that it sets up restaurant in a casual sort of way, so probably just the first book/first three (four?) radio eps sort of thing.
I have stopped looking for Zaphod info, for fear of anger, but I have heard both it's in his nose and his head rolls back and his beard is the hair on head two of course I have also heard that it is pre-effect.
So if nothing else, self-motivated disinformation campaign on the part of the filmmakers, huge success.
I read somewhere that they made up something where only one head is visible most of the time -- for budgetary reasons, apparently.
I do see the reasoning behind it, so I can't hold it against them if it does happen that way. But still ...
I did, in fact, read the first 2 books, just for the record. So now I know what all y'all are talking about.
Does anyone have a cite for the (crazy, wrong, ludicrous) H2G2 change? Because if they could afford to do the FX on the TV show, they can afford to get a guy to walk behind Rockwell with his chin on his shoulder , for pity's sake. How To Get Ahead In Advertising managed it.
I have a vague feeling I read it on AICN, which I can't remember why I even went there, but now I'm afraid to go back.
So, what's the advance word on The Jacket? The trailer looks interesting.
I guess I should read this Hitchhiker book everyone's talking about, eh?
