A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Hey. New board.

Bad movie enthralled with: Zardoz. Also, Chance. Though that's mostly just for the combined AB/JM love.

Good movies I must watch if they are on: Star Wars, The Thin Man, Citizen Kane, Groundhog Day, ANY of the Brat Pack movies, ANY of the Back To The Future movies.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Zardoz.

OMG Zardoz. The best part of owning this is the commentary track -- basically just John Boorman going "Yeah...I don't really remember what this scene was supposed to be about...sorry..." for two and a half hours. It's AWESOME.

brillig

A bad movie that wasn't as bad as it should have been, ie, not enough cheese/humor/whatever makes a bad movie a joy--

Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity.

Hubby and I rented it on the strength of the title alone, but we were sadly disappointed. Starred a couple of Penthouse Pets who should have kept their clothes on, because in the nude scene we were going, "Was she wearing a push-up bra under that costume? Where did her tits go? She looks like a malnourished boy."

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Zardoz.

Another one that, like Dune, came with a sheet of "helpful information" for understanding the movie.

"Here she is, your komodo dragon!" has proven a far more useful phrase than I ever dreamed possible

Frank beat me to it. The visual of the komodo dragon walking on the treadmill in the mall is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Ever.

Hey. New board.

OMG I'm finally reading Phantom of the Opera in 15 minutes. Why didn't I do this earlier?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Groundhog Day was my number one for a long time, but it hasn't been where I've been surfing so much lately.

Eee! Frank, I have mad Groundhog Day love.

Also, Sean, you have to see Bring It On, fool. It's so fun.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Eee! Frank, I have mad Groundhog Day love.

Yeah, me too.

Worshipping At the Bill Murray Shrine Since Meatballs

Word. It was more SNL then Ghostbusters for me, but it is cool to see Bill getting his proper due these days.
