I can't even.

What about that movie with Rowdy Roddy Piper and the aliens? That's fun and not very good.

They Live?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I don't know about everyone else, but They Live kind of falls down in the enjoyable department for me.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

the movie that occurred to me was one I flipped on to recently: FLASH GORDON.

Dude. Totally. As well as Clash of the Titans.

And.... Darby O'Gill and the Little People.

THEY LIVE. That's John Carpenter and definitely in the "knowing" category, although he's definitely enthusiastic in his knowingness.

Speaking of Carpenter, I got my sister two DVDs for Xmas that she was totally floored that I'd dug up. One was HARDWARE WARS (not Carpenter, but funny), and the other was DARK STAR (which is, and also funny). Best. Alien. Evah!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Star Trek IV. I don't even like Star Trek, but I can't not watch the damn thing.

Oh, and Jessica? You will be happy to know that The Apple is on our Netflix queue. I fear it, but it is there.....

I always have to stop and watch The Search for Spock, whichever number that one is.

(And juliana, did you get my e-mail last night?)

If I only had a brain...

For me, Rocky Horror is a cult movie, made to be a cult movie, not a Good Bad Movie.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'd say "don't fear the Apple!" but then I remember that the trailer includes the line "The Apple will steal your soul..." so perhaps fear is the appropriate attitude.

(Do make sure that you watch the trailer before you watch the movie. It's the perfect mood-setter.)

No honey, but the thing cleared up, so I'm good. *mwah*

Oh, yes. I remember the trailer. Oh, dear.
