I didn't just see Alexis Bledel on that cast list, did I?
And wow, Mickey Rourke. Coolness.

A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Yep. Playing a prostitute, IIRC.
I know how it could look better -- a wee tweak of the cast list.
Particular one you've got in mind?

Bruce Willis and Brittany Murphy both make me itch.
Playing a prostitute, IIRC.
If she's playing a female role, the odds are good she's a whore. Or soon dead. Or both.
Emmett and I saw the Lemony Snicket movie today. It was pure goth porn, and by porn I mean art direction. The end credits alone were one of the coolest things I've seen this year. JZ described them as a combination of Edward Gorey / Tim Burton / and the shadow puppet animation of the Prince Achmed movie.
I thought Carrey was fine, but he distorted the focus of the movie on Count Olaf instead of on the Baudelaires. JZ hated him and thought he did nothing but distracting schtick. We both agreed the sets, costuming and children's performances were stellar.
It's really one of the prettiest movies I've ever seen. Quite lush and gorgeous.

I get to go see it Thursday night. I cannot wait.

Plan on staying through the end credits. I could have easily watched a whole movie just in the style of the end credits.
I agree w/ JZ wrt Carrey.
Brad & Jen have a production company where they're producing movies that don't necessarily star either of them, so y'all probably don't have to worry.

Yes, this. The credits were faaabulous, and the art direction. Jilli will love it.
I agree with the RIOBOT. There was too much Carrey and not enough kids. But it was still fun, even if I did start looking away every time Olaf was onscreen.
