Yes indeedy, Frank! I think if anywhere in all of Maine were to have it, it'd be them.
Sounds right up their alley, considering they've had stuff for rental I'm pretty sure wasn't quite legally available at times (Rocky Horror before it had an official DVD release, for instance).
Skipping a lot. Because you know what I just watched again?
Love Actually
Died of the incredible cuteness that is that film.
How tall was Andre the Giant? Though he's probably categorized more as a wrestler, though, right?
7' even, according to IMDB. The WWE site lists him as 7'4". Who do YOU believe?
I love Love, Actually. Kick-ass movie (apart from a plot or two I could have done without). I put "All I want for Christmas" from the soundtrack on my Christmas CD because I love the movie so much.
And it's not just cute.
No, certainly not just cute. But tonight the cute affected me more than the other good bits. Just because of my mood. The little boy made me want an eleven-year-old for Christmas. (Dear God that came out much much dirtier and grosser than I meant it to be. Purely parental desires here, promise.)
Yeah, 11's a little old for it not to sound dirty.
Love Actually
I love love love Love Actually, too.
My only problem with it is the fact that I was taking a class on gender in film at the time it came out, and it is nearly impossible for me to look at it without analyzing the fact that the girls are all maids, don't get the guy, or are fat. Or some combination of that. Or they are some sort of not-even-attempting-to-be-believable fantasy. Basically.
But Olivia Olson has the most amazing voice, and she's totally gorgeous, and she was all of ten when that was filmed. I fully expect to see a lot more of her at some point during the next ten years.
I love Love, Actually too. One of my favorite bits is the story with the porn stand-ins. So cute! I have the dvd, but haven't watched the extras yet. I've heard there's a ton of other scenes.
