Any thoughts on Kindred: The Embraced?
I've never even heard of it before. 20 minutes into it, my experience is:
C Thomas Howell? How did that guy ever get a role? Dialogue. Really crappy. Casting, cool.
Does it get better?

A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

It's been ages since I watched it, but I seem to recall it getting a little better, but not remarkably so. It helps when they lay off the the exposition and can stop quoting the game books.
Stacey Haiduk turns in an effective, moving performance as Lily Langtree. And Brian Thompson surprises with some depth in one of the later episodes, though he's not around much after that.
It's best to fast-forward whenever Howell is on the screen.

This explains the, so stilted it pricks you till you bleed, dialogue. Aha.
Expectations duly lowered.
And I always like Brian Thompson. Just cuz.

None that I left unblocked. Didn't like it at all.
Um. Jeff Kober. Liked his Nosferatu-esque character.
Hah. The blonde in the later episodes--she's who Kate on Angel reminded me of. And the actress who played Virginia also had a role. And um, that guy, the guy from The Zeppo, with the car? He was in it, too.
Wow, it's been a long while since I saw K:TE
I blame K:TE for some of the more irritating bits of vampire fanon in BtVS fanfic.

That White Wolf was insane to go along with it?

That show killed the game, because suddenly the kids who played it were no longer noir and cool but wanna-be's imitating a TV show.

The kids that played it thought they were noir and cool at some point? (I say this having played it myself, you understand.)
Edit: Ooooh, fear me and my number of evil! *Now* I'm cool and noir, oh yes indeedy.
