Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Just came back from seeing "Finding Neverland". That's the most I cried in the theater since "Return of the King". Some of it felt awfully manipulative, but I bawled anyway. The young actor who played Peter (one of the boys of Kate Winslet's character, not the Peter in the play) was just extraordinary. He matched Johnny Depp every step of the way, and he couldn't have been more than 8 or 9 when they filmed this.

This is the first time I've noticed this, but Johnny Depp has obscenely long lashes.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Vonnie, the new People has an article about Depp, and it mentions that Depp was so impressed with the kid that now the kid is playing Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

This reminds me, I've been thinking of spending the next lazy rainy weekend watching a Van Helsing and Underworld double feature. I think they would go well together.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I did like Underworld for some reason.

Compassionately intolerant

Calli! Underworld and Van Helsing are my current fave double header. Cheesy fun!

My previous fave double feature was El Mariachi and Desperado. But they both come on the same disk, so no creativity points earned there.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

me too, Anne. that could be because Kate Beckinsale's accent wasn't irritating. since, ya know, it was her real one.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I really enjoyed Underworld.

Art Crawl!!!

I so want to see Finding Neverland. Is it out everywhere now? Or still just in "select cities".

(Because if the latter -- probably not in DeKalb yet.)

hip deep in pie

Tonight is a preview of Finding Neverland here. I think it opens here next week.

I thought Closer was opening this weekend, and I was all excited to go to a Friday matinee, since I was off. But it wasn't here.
