I specifically asked Joe, "Knowing GF's comic book tastes as you do, do you think she would enjoy The Incredibles?" He says yes. It is his new favoritest hero movie. It's funny, it's smart. Mr Incredible is truly decent guy trying to make it without showing his true colors which are good colors.
It's just amazing.
Also, The Incredibles is filled with pretty hair. So that is fun, too.
It kinda reminded me of the hair on
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

I commented on that to JZ - that they avoided the uncanny valley by going for something towards the lookg of stop motion animation of the Rankin Bass holiday specials.
Yes. But Violet's hair was really shiny, and Mrs. Incredible had awesome highlights. That's what I meant.

I also liked Elastigirl's flip when she was sassy and single.
I love how they aged Elastigirl--she had hips!
Oh, yeah, the sassy and single flip was totally great.
Also, you knew who the bad guy was because he had horrible hair. It's one of those clues to life. I was iffy about Mirage, because her hair was a cool color, and a trendy cut, and yet also weird looking. So I didn't know if she was bad or good. Even after the credits started rolling, I was still wondering.
The moment where Elastigirl checked
out her hips in the mirror was
priceless.
I had some issues with early Violet hair, just because the way she was wearing it was so Samara (from The Ring).
Still my favorite Incredible, though, creepy vibes and all.
You weren't alone in making that connection, NovaChild. Seeing the movie made me resolve that if I ever play a super-hero themed RPG again, I'm going to create a Ghost Girl character in that mold with appropriately creepy powers.
