Wesley: All right. I'm going to let you all in on something you may have trouble comprehending. I assure you however-- Gunn: Vampires are real. Wesley: I was telling!

And the shape -- the shape is wrong, isn't it?

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

Shaped like a sleek running shoe, says the book. The shape of the thing doesn't bother me in the slightest, though, as Adams himself fooled around with the visual concepts for everything throughout the books' run and even up to his death. For that matter, Marvin was always given as being decently tall. I like the look, though, 'coz it carries the spirit across.

Plus which, !!!!!!!

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Just caught up with some trailers at Apple.com. My brain is about to explode trying to process Ryan Reynolds as an action hero in Blade: Trinity.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He does look studly. I'm psyched.

But I had a similar disconnect with Biel, and then heard that story about her shooting out the lens on one of the cameras -- they told her to aim for it, for the effect, never guessing she'd nail the arrow right down the barrel.

Very cool.

I might be having trouble processing "Berg" as an action hero but I'm looking forward to the movie. If it's half as good as Blade II, I'll be a happy chappy.

Hey. New board.

lexine: I've encoded a DivX AVI version of the Fat Albert trailer, available here. So you can watch it without quicktime.

ETA: I'm also willing to do this for any other trailers you want to see. Or anybody else for that matter. I know that some people think Quicktime on Windows is evil (perhaps rightly), but many trailers are only available in it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Now they are making a movie of The Hitchhiker's Guide? Let's see, didn't it start out as a radio series, and then become a book, and *then* a tv series? Or were the book and the tv series reversed? And now it is a movie. Yeah, that will just about tap out the possibilities unless they want to repackage it once more as a graphic novel.

Burrell, if I recall correctly, Douglas Adams was working with Jay Roach, I think it was, on a screenplay for a while. So it's not like this thing Hollywood's taking advantage of, it's DNA-sanctioned.
