You didn't like Dr. Strangelove or Full Metal Jacket?
Eh and no. The former was probably a lot funnier/more significant when it was made than it is now; and the latter I got through half and asked, "What is the point?" and turned it off.
I don't like
A Clockwork Orange
in either of its incarnations because it is so determined to be Shocking! that I mostly dismiss it out of hand.
My heart is made of stone, I tell you.
In other news, if this photo is anything to judge by, Chrisitan Bale may have joined the Teamsters' Union.

A Clockwork Orange
is the only movie I've ever rented, turned off about 15 minutes in, and returned within the hour. I was too disgusted to continue.
The only Kubrick I like is Dr. Strangelove, and it's mostly because I'm fascinated, horrified, and sickly certain that this is how the world works. As it turns out, I was right.
The rest of his that I've seen? Meh. Especially A Clockwork Orange. I just didn't really need to see any of what he had to say.
This is where I express my shock and horror at the utter absence of Barry Lyndon in this conversation, right?

It's a signal that he's in an illicit relationship with Orlando.

This is Buffista conversation #5,132, right? I think that's where you come in, Jessica. :)

::makes note to finally get around to seeing Barry Lyndon::

But aren't the first fifteen minutes just Malcolm MacDowell staring into the camera without blinking?
