I haven't seen it in a long time, but Time After Time is a cheesily fun time travel movie. Mary Steenburgen does the flip side of her role in Back to the Future 3. Plus, David Warner and Malcom McDowell.

It's no Deep Blue Sea, but one of my guilty pleasures is Deep Rising. Famke Jensen, Kevin J. O'Connor, Treat Williams, Wes Studi, and Cliff Curtis . O'Connor's gobsmacked answer to "what was THAT?" "The Girl from Ipenema" and Williams' worldweary, exasperated, "NOW what?" get lots of quotage in our house.

I think Deep Rising may be one of the few movies Cliff Curtis has made in which he's played his own nationality/accent. That dude has played all over the world, and I think in several languages.
Deep Blue Sea wins points for putting lithe young things in wetsuits, but loses points for being as silly a movie about genius malevolent sharks as one could hope to avoid.
Is it just me, or are former child actors much more likely to be successful adult actors now than, say, 20 years ago? It's very strange, that the "my age" actors from when I was an adolescent are still acting and still my age.

How old are you? Would you say that Jodie Foster is too young and too old to be on either side of your divide? I can't remember who was a former child actor 20 years ago -- because I was young myself, and hadn't been paying attention.

Admittedly, for me it's 30 years ago. But successful child actors of my childhood who are still in the public eye --

Movie about time travel that hasn't been mentioned: Frequency. It's a decent movie, though I was going to shoot myself if I had to watch that thing drop behind the radiator or whatever in slow-motion one. More. Time.
