Shit's all sorts of different now.

The ones I have seen: Ladykillers, Raising Arizona, The Big Lebowski (I am the only person in the world that is "Eh" on Lebowski), O Brother, Intolerable Cruelty

Ones I haven't seen: The Man Who Wasn't There, Hudsucker Proxy, Blood Simple, Fargo

And for some reason, I always think A Simple Plan is Coen Bros.

Up with the sun

Do you mean Intolerable Cruelty? (Which I thought wasn't bad, but didn't have much particularly Coen-y about it. It was pretty bland.)

What Jessica said. Zeta-Jones and Clooney are both perfectly fine, and there are a few clever lines, but the film didn't especially stick with me.

I liked Fargo, a lot, and thought OBWAT and Big Lebowski were pretty good but not as great as people told me they were. Hated Hudsucker Proxy. Liked The Man Who Wasn't There, but fell asleep 2/3 of the way through, which I'm guessing means I didn't like it *that* much. Haven't seen any of their other movies. (I think. I always get Barton Fink mixed up with Glengarry Glen Ross, and I've seen whichever one had Alec Baldwin in it.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I had to turn off Hudsucker Proxy after about 15 minutes. It was just annoying me too much.

Sam Raimi.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What about it made you not want to see it?

Didn't look like a "real" Coen Bros.

The Man Who Wasn't There

D'oh. Some fan, I can't even remember the titles.

Yeah, that makes sense. I didn't even know it was Coen Bros. until I finally watched with a friend who's a fanatic, and it was everybody's first time watching it.

Yes, I know it's Sam Raimi. I just always think it's the other 2 first.

I like that they always make George Clooney look odd. The whole teeth thing in IT was funny.

I think Clooney and the Coen Brothers is an even better combination than Clooney and Soderburgh.

Actually my favorite part of IT is Wheezy Joe getting his asthma inhaler and the gun mixed up.

Somebody accidentaly blowing their own brains out shouldn't be that damned funny.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I love Hudsucker Proxy, but I am a sucker for the kinds of films they were spoofing.

I should like Lebowski more than I actually do. I'm not sure why it didn't quite gel for me.
