"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I have a nasty feeling that when I see The Grudge, I'll keep wondering why SMG just doesn't beat the crap out of the monsters, or call Willow to help her out.

This is why her roles in the Kevin Williamson movies never worked for me. No way could the Gorton's fisherman or spooky face take down Buffy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

All told, I'll probably see Doom before this.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

WTF? And why is John Woo doing it?

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

I saw Sex and Lucia last night. Oof. So good. And, uh, hawt.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I remember Masters of the Universe. That was a fun little flick.

WTF? And why is John Woo doing it?

And whatever happened to his Ninja Turtles movie?

I know! Wasn't she the one that got thrown through a glass door and over a balcony to her death in Scream 2? During that scene I was thinking "that should be the slasher, with enough momentum to land in the yard of the next sorority over!"

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I definitely think SMG needs to get away from blonde for a few years.

Applying the same philosophy to the horror genre probably wouldn't hurt, either. Cruel Intentions did a good job of breaking her out of the Buffy mold for a while... I think what she needs to do is another drama whose script doesn't attract flies and scarab beetles.

Yep. She did at least put up a bit of a fight, but still...

Yes, definitely.
