Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned

A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I would watch anything to see Chris Carmack again.

Or that's what I thought. I've found my limit.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Maybe it's a ploy to get film critics and discerning audiences to raise enough money to send him into space?

I vote we go the cheap route: buy a Russian ICBM and strap him to the nose cone, Slim Pickens style.

Maybe he secretly did already and forgot to bring a helmet. Not enough "oy" in the world.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

You know, Daisy is a vapid cow.

This is true! Although it speaks ill of the romantic flapper image, that Paris Hilton should be taken as the modern analogue.

I'm secure in the knowledge that the novel can't possibly be updated. The whole point of it was that Gatsby was an outsider trying ot buy his way in with money, and failed; whereas these days buying your way in with something so genteel as money is practically respectable.

Behold the forgotten scene from Star Wars that George Lucas thought was just a bit too sexy. Plus it does not really help to further the plot.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ooh. That's some good Thing makeup. And it looks like Reed's got a bit of the gray. People can put away the automatic weapons.

SuperHeroHype.com also have a rumour that Tom Welling will make an appearance in Batman Begins. His character name is listed as "Kent". They supposedly have a scan of the call sheet but the image doesn't appear.

Make of it what you will.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Legendary filmmaker Russ Meyer dead.

Ebert has an obituary in today's column as well.

For Meyer, I should say.
