A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

But, like, who designed this system, where a guy who has a brief murderous thought goes into Zombie Therapy, and someone like Ken Lay isn't even on the radar?

I think you just answered your own question there.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

No, it's III in the old West, crazy man.

Aw, hell. That was a friggin' typo. It's still early for me.

Michael Madsen narrates the Animal Precinct (New York) show on Animal Planet. I feel perversely comforted knowing that the narrator is going to take those animal neglecters out behind the building and smack them really hard.

YES!!! I've watched that too, and been comforted knowing Madsen would go all Mr. Blond on their asses, if he could.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, ita.... You feeling okay?

Sometimes it's enough just knowing everyone is wrong.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I could be like Charlotte.

Some Aimee.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Well, it would also explain how Tom Cruise came to be in charge of it. I think I would not trust him to park my car properly.

Also, you know what? If Max von Sydow is in charge of it, you've got yourself a pretty good guarantee that It's Going To Go Badly.

I think this must be the kind of dystopia where all of the people above a certain IQ have already fled to Canada, and the truly stupid are left to fight over control of the country.

Laughs ass off at adorableness of Aimee.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think this must be the kind of dystopia where all of the people above a certain IQ have already fled to Canada, and the truly stupid are left to fight over control of the country.

And trial lawyers have all been imprisoned because they hate America.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

But, like, who designed this system, where a guy who has a brief murderous thought goes into Zombie Therapy, and someone like Ken Lay isn't even on the radar?

Well, to be fair, the notoriously paranoid Philip K. Dick - they didn't really screw with the basic premise much (which is pretty much all that the story is), just added their own story.

Also, you know what? If Max von Sydow is in charge of it, you've got yourself a pretty good guarantee that It's Going To Go Badly.

Unless it's an exorcism. Granted, it didn't go well for either priest, but it worked.

Up with the sun

Is there a web page explaining the BttF II/III time inconsistencies? I am curious, but afraid of what I would bring about if I asked MM, Sean and Lilty to explain inthread.
