Book: Yes, I'd forgotten you're moonlighting as a criminal mastermind now. Got your next heist planned? Simon: No. But I'm thinking about growing a big black mustache. I'm a traditionalist.

Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned

A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

How fortuitous. Or, perhaps just coat-tailing. IFC just ran two Zatoichi films Friday night. I enjoyed the first one, but fell asleep shortly after the second one started. I'll look and see if they're running them again any time soon.

If I only had a brain...

and falls desperately in love

Also, he's not desperately in love with anybody but himself.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

he's not desperately in love with anybody but himself.

Ha!

Can't entirely disagree.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I am watching Jurassic Park III.

Should I be?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just saw Shaun of the Dead, and I think it may be the most made-for-Buffista movie I have ever seen. It's like The Office meets 28 Days Later.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I've never even heard of it, but your description makes me want to run out and see it right now. I'm giggling at the scenarios I'm constructing in my head.

Ann, that's a ferret.

tommy, I just finished Wuthering Heights. I'm the last person you should be asking for validation. (And before that, four Jean Harlow-Clark Gable teamups. So, the very last.)

I thought JPIII was fun. Not good, but fun. And nice and short.

I've never even heard of it, but your description makes me want to run out and see it right now.

It doesn't come out until the end of September, but you can see the trailer here. (The trailer's much broader than the actual film, but it's not bad.)

Nobody's been eaten in a while....

eta: I spoke too soon. I hope. I mean, if that guy wasn't eaten, I'll be pissed.
