Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, here's a cool rumour:

From Cinescape:

According to our anonymous scooper, David Boreanaz (ANGEL) also met with the FANTASTIC FOUR creative team. What role Boreanaz may be up for wasn't known by the scooper.

With all the male leads cast, this leaves two possible options: this is just a rumor, or Boreanaz is in talks for the neferious Dr. Doom. Personally, I'm hoping for the second option.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Heh. I can't see DB as Doom.

This is fun. Shia LaBeouf on Superman in which he has been cast as Jimmy Olsen:

LaBeouf may not have left with a script, but he did leave with some intriguing casting info. Mainly, Jake Gyllenhaal is apparently no longer in the running for Superman.

"They're going to go with an unknown," said LaBeouf, adding that McG is trying to lure Scarlett Johansson for Lois Lane and Johnny Depp for Lex Luthor.

And, in other comic news (I can't tear myself away), Batman Begins is supposed to be 1/2 origin story, including training, and the second half fighting villainous threat.

The above isn't significantly spoilery -- no characters named, just about how much of the movie is to be dedicated to origin.

eta: Gary OLDMAN is James Gordon? How did I miss that? They should switch him with Caine.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Boreanaz is in talks for the neferious Dr. Doom.

"So pouts DOOM!"

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Now that I think about it, Shia LaBeuof has Jimmy Olsen written all over him.

And nifty news on the Bats movie. Although could be tricky to develop the villains with only half a movie, what with their being obscure to a mainstream audience (and hell, even I don't know who Ra's Al-Ghul is).

eta: Gary OLDMAN is James Gordon?

Really? How odd.

I figure they're thinking if they just paint him metallic, they won't need expensive prosthetics.

OK, I've tracked down internet rumors that the secret woods-dwellers in Shyamalan's The Village might be Indians, or alternately modern construction workers.

Please tell me the twist isn't that everyone's being menaced by The Village People.

That's very scary, Matt. More scary than the individual scenarios.

On the plus side, it would get me to not only be happy I paid my money, but also to drag other people back for repeat showings.
