The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

How was Danny to get from one station to the next in time to meet the same train?

I was wondering that, too, but I put it down to my complete ignorance of LA's subway system.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I was wondering that, too, but I put it down to my complete ignorance of LA's subway system.

Heh, me and the friend I was watching it with both said "LA has a Subway System?" at the same time.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

The only thing I could think of was maybe he meant Danny's team, but can't remember whether that interpretation was disproven by what happened.

Web and Paul show up pretty handily, but the baddie didn't need to get off there, did he?

For this, I got nothin'.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

A couple weeks ago, I mailed my WF DVDs to a friend so she could watch the show. She loved it madly.

I realized I had several other friends who needed to be converted, and I could send my DVDs to them too!

But wait...why waste time and postage? I could get her to send them to someone, and they could send them to someone else, and so on and so forth. A pyramid scheme of conversion! Except more of a line.

I win at toasters.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

But wait...why waste time and postage? I could get her to send them to someone, and they could send them to someone else, and so on and so forth. A pyramid scheme of conversion! Except more of a line.

You just have to be able to track who has them so you can eventually get them back!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

How was Danny to get from one station to the next in time to meet the same train?

That was a problem. I don't know the LA system at all, but I can't imagine them being able to do it, especially if they start from the platform. The train doesn't have to worry about surface traffic or traffic lights. You certainly couldn't do it in Boston.

The only fan wank I can think of is for Web to have arranged for the train to be held up by signals between each stop to allow the others to catch up.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I have a question about the ending of the episode

I wondered about the same thing, then decided that I didn't need to care. It wasn't like her fate was ever in question anyway. Okay, but the other thing I wondered about was how Web figured out who the perp was. And why the audience was left out of the loop--or were there enough clues earlier in the episode to piece it together for oneself?

Art Crawl!!!

I thought that the patsy said something about "Simon says" and that "Simon sees everything" and then Web (who obviously noticed that the security guy was named Simon) looked at the security camera and put 2 and 2 together.

sumi is correct.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

sumi is correct.

But Web had already put her on the train that didn't go to LAX. So he must have been sure he didn't have the right (or only) guy. Or else he's a pointless prick, which'd surprise me.
