The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I think Web(b?) is the world's only reformed child molester. If whatshernametheblondgirl is able to understand victims and criminals due to her life experience (per Webb, at least), it only follows that he should be the world's best violent-crime investigator because he is a violent criminal emeritus.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I know no one cares what I think

I care! also you work for a major media outlet

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Jay Harrington and Adam Baldwin are married.

Heh.

"Simon" works for "Wolfram Security". "Wolfram and Heart" was the name of a law firm in "Angel", which many of The Inside crew worked on.

It's "Wolfram and Hart."

Nice page.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Formerly "Wolf, Ram, and Hart"...at least in Pylea....

From Tim above...what's an "MSM"? Short Messaging Service inside out? I think not.

The evil is this way?

Maths is used every day in the UK - if you say to somebody they need to "do math" here you'd get very funny looks. Having said that, I get this show is US based at the moment, so I probably should fix it.

Actually, I think it's kinda charming. I just have math issues and believe that it is evil. So, the idea that there were multiple maths seemed really evil. And thereby totally in keeping with the spirit of a Tim show.

From Tim above...what's an "MSM credit." Short Messaging Service inside out? I think not.

MSM = Main Stream Media?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I think Web(b?) is the world's only reformed child molester

I was thinking the same thing, jengod!

I liked the episode but didn't love it. Someone else said it last night, but Rebecca could be any pretty blonde ingenue at this point. Adam and Katie didn't get enough screen time for me to suss them out yet, but I am looking forward to learning more about their characters. I liked Paul, but he has the potential for really getting on my nerves with his savior act. Web...ah, Web. I dig him. He's arrogant, manipulative, secretive and a complete asshole, but he's fun to watch.

The main reason I didn't love it was the overripe dialogue. It stood out badly to me and completely pulled me out of the universe. It could grow on me as I get used to it, but for now it rubs me the wrong way. I don't remember which line made me actually say outloud, "Oh dear god. Please." but it was there.

I may have to seize the cat.

The main reason I didn't love it was the overripe dialogue.

I think the off-the-cuff, normal conversation dialogue was brilliant. It was the THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT lines that I found jarring.

Yeah. But...it seems Tim likes the overripe, so we may just have to get used to it.

Exactly. When it was good, it was very very good, and when it was bad, it was horrid.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

I literally can't believe I've spelt Wolfram and Hart wrong. But I have. This is coming from the person with a self designed W&H Senior Partner shirt, and all.

Ahem.
