It'll be interesting to see what Mel and Danny's deals are.
Don't know about Mel, but Danny appears to be the SWAT guy. He was the one Web had coordinating with the weapons people.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Yes, her placid blank thing was a choice. My choice. About 3/4 of this pilot was re-shot. Maybe we'll be able to include the original hour on the DVD (and I'm NOT talking about the 21 Jump Street thing, though I think that should go on the DVD, too), things were very bright, she was cheerful and perky. We backed the hell up. I like that she's all "I'd like to see the body" then almost ralphs on it.
Not to mention a rookie agent who (as I understood it) should in no way be an agent at all.
She still doesn't necessarily know what she's doing.
At this point, I wonder that Paul would want to be on the same team after she pointed her weapon at him. That's a serious no no.
You know what this show reminds me of, more than Se7en, or Silence of the Lambs?
Millennium. Something about Web's character feels like he'd fit in with that universe quite nicely.
I laughed out loud at "Damn. I got that backward." You gotta love it >when a show can be about a guy who rips off women's faces and hands >and it can still make you laugh.
My thoughts exactly... I about lost it with that line.
I had faith in Tim and I wasn't disappointed. I know that if the show starts out this strongly, it will only get better with time. The icky was not so fun, but not quite as gross as I was expecting based on the reviews. Of course, I'm not there for the horror, I'm there for the characters.
Cool pilot, Tim. Nice to see your name back where it belongs!
DX, I actually shot a scene about that, cut for time. Also, I directed it kinda badly.
BTW, does anyone know when/if the pilot ep will repeat?
Does anyone know if TWOP is recapping this?
No TWOP recap. Too busy with Britney and Kevin, I guess. Not that I'm bitter.
On the RN thing, I was expecting a much worse performance with all the ex-model talk, so that was a pleasant surprise. I thought she did fine. I don't think we're supposed to get much about her just yet.
DX, it was this:
WEB: (off monitor) He’s got her underground. Danny, prep your tactical team.
DANNY: Already done. Been standing by.
WEB: Good. Have LAPD set up a perimeter. No one goes in until you get there -- (to Rebecca) Bring me back a bad guy.
She’s just been waiting to know if she’s in this. She nods, is off. Everyone is on the move. Paul grabs Web by the arm, a private-ish moment:
PAUL: She’s not ready. She doesn’t have street experience --
WEB: She’s about to get some.
PAUL: (weighs it, then:) She pulled her gun on me today.
WEB: Then you should watch her carefully. And make sure she’s pointing it in the right direction.
And he’s gone. Off Paul, unhappy --
