The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
I was thinking of posting a reminder in Press. Just in case there are one or two Buffistas with horribly bad memories like mine. Overkill?
Nah.
Probably, Typo. The thread's right under their noses, if they care.

Is something going on? What'd I miss?
Yes, I'm kidding.
The Fox forum just posted that a "writer or two" will be posting there during the West Coast's viewing.
Does this mean no Tim for watch and post?
Sad now.
The Toronto Star piece on the show ended thus:
"Oh, it will be gross" gleeflully promises Minnear. "It's going to be cool. There's going to be boundary-pushing and gore and entrails".
"Occasionally, I'll be wearing them"
Note, spelling of names retained from the original.
It's going to be Faux Tim.
t putting on her armor
I like Tim Goodman, the SF Chronicle tv guy. He's not infallible, but he's honest in his opinions and unlikely to be swayed by industry hype. Yes, he didn't like Firefly when it first aired. I understand he came around. He loved Farscape, and said so, and he adored Wonderfalls, loves Arrested Development, and rants often about the way the tv industry mishandles good shows. IOW, he's not the enemy.
But there's something in the "too many cop shows" thing. And rightly or wrongly, he's seeing a lot of importance in how Fox is handling it, putting it up at this point instead of airing it during the regular season.
Anyway. I'm still watching, but mostly because it's Tim (and Adam and Peter and Katie), and cause Allyson said to. I'm not much for the gore.
I'm starting to get butterflies in my stomach.
