I miss the old pull tabs. You could make rings of them.
You could also use the tab part to spring-launch the ring part. I was never a very accurate shot, but at least I was easily (and inexpensively) amused.
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

What's NCIS?
Just got an email about a screening of Le Grand Rôle at the MFA in Boston. Here's the description:
Le Grand Rôle by Steve Suissa (France, 2003, 89 min.) Laughter and tears vie for top billing in this lovely second feature by French director Steve Suissa (Taking Wing). For years, friends and actors Maurice, Sami, Simon, Elie, and Edouard have been waiting for their big break. The future looks bright when famous American director Rudolph Grichenberg (Peter Coyote) offers Maurice the part of Shylock in his Yiddish screen adaptation of The Merchant of Venice. But his fortunes reverse quickly when Maurice learns that his beloved wife is seriously ill. With his friends' help, Maurice takes on the greatest role of his life, and in playing his part, illuminates the meaning of art, love, and truth.
Anyone seen it?
Tim once bit my sister.
Tim turned me into a newt.
I got better.
I think that it was the same music as on the Serenity trailer!
Ouch. TV Guide didn't so much love The Inside.
I watched the first two episodes over the weekend, and given its pedigree — it was created by Angel's Tim Minear and 24's Howard Gordon — I was massively disappointed. Basically, if Medium and Profiler were to have sex, get pregnant and give birth to a really boring baby, its name would be The Inside. And nothing against leading lady Rachel Nichols; I'm sure she's a very nice person, but she's woefully miscast here. Paris Hilton would have made a more convincing FBI agent. As far as summer recommendations go, Beauty and the Geek is a hoot, Lisa Kudrow's HBO Comeback improves in its second episode and TNT's big-budget Western Into the West features my girl Keri in pure period splendor.
Then again, the guy has been jerking himself off about the possibilities of a Spike TV Movie, and I think standing in line at the DMV is more entertaining than James Marsters.
So, there's that whole tomato tomahto thing.
Still. Ouch.

Anyone know what it is? It sounds familiar, but I can't tell if it's a remake (ala the "Doors" teaser they did) or just something I don't know the name of.
Is there a character who just didn't show up anymore? Someone who might have been brutally done away with?
The Invisible Girl?
Hey, for all we know, the Invisible Girl was in all 7 seasons.
Just very, very quietly.

Maybe she moved over to Angel and had a thing going with Phantom Dennis.

Come to think of it, I'm amazed I haven't seen (?) this pairing in fic.
