Anthony - good point. I'm not sure Hells Kitchen will even translate to the US that well - I've seen the original UK version and, well, it just didn't strike me as too portable.
But then, I didn't think Big Brother would translate to the US, and it has.
I saw an episode of The Simpsons last night where Homer tries to sell a crazy shit reality TV idea to Fox. It made me laugh.
What I mean is, I saw Hitchhiker's Guide and there were almost 10 previews. No Serenity, but 7 or so were for preteen movies "sharkboy", "herbie", "kicking and screaming", "jumanji in space", etc. Not that I wish to disparage these movies or their audience, I just didn't feel they fit with "the Guide".
That was my viewing as well. If someone (me) yelled “get a new idea” after the "jumanji in space" trailer, we were at the same show.

I wonder when the boyf's DVR will show The Inside on it. I'll have to take a look. Surely by Saturday?
If it's a Tivo, it's already up on the programming guide and you can set a season pass for it. (Done.)
I wasn't aware that Idol was on at 9pm.
The results show was but still you'd think there be a built in audience for a reality show where a British guy abuses people and I'd think that if The Inside took over 24's slot people might assume it was a 24's caliber drama just because of that.
I'm still trying to figure out how Freddie follows George Lopez and leads in Lost.
Network scheduling fascinaties me the same way car wrecks cause people to slow down. Or like when you see someone about to fall and it's too late too warn them or catch them and you just kind of watch and go "there she goooooes. I bet that's gonna leave a mark."
If anyone's interested here's the fall schedule. Looks like Head Cases will take over for The Inside sometime in the Fall.

Sadly it's not, it's the cable company's thingy. (Time Warner.)
Also, Allyson, you should listen to Kristen.

Good old Buffy vet Tim Minear. His mythic tour of duty on Buffy is just never going to die, is it?
I expect a larger, more complicated storyline will eventually shine through
Is there an arc to the 13 episodes? The way "Wonderfalls" had? Or a longer one, like "Angel"?
It's created by Buffy vet Tim Minear, and it retains some of that epic, mystical feeling.
Tim is never going to be able to put his time on BtVS behind him, ha?
[Edit: x-post with JZ. I was wondering how many of us will jump at the BtVS repeated mention. Now I know]
Thanks, Allyson.
