Not jackassy at all. I wish we could all see the gloriousness of it now, but I'm impatient that way.
The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
I don't know much so I don't really have anything to add. Except that this:
Right down to how the desks should look, what sort of suits they should wear, every tiny detail in his head spills out into the scripts and what he's been doing with it all.
Would not at all surprise me. It's his baby and exactly the show he was always meant to do. I would imagine he's completely engrossed in every aspect of it.
He's just so immersed in it, in every single nook of the show.
Cue squeeing alternating with screams of impatience.
Plus we just got Tivo and I need some quality to test it out on, but maybe I'll just look at this time to practice getting the timing just right so when The Inside starts I'll be all ready.
I know it's unrealistic, but I just wish they'd toss the website up, already.
With character descriptions!
I'm really ignorant; this has seemed to me like a really long delay between pilot and airing. Is this typical? I thought the general rule was pilot in April, air in Fall.
The original show was supposed to be a mid-season replacement. A lot has changed since then.
A classic example of this is the live-action "Tick" series, which got held back for almost a year from when it was initially supposed to run. By the time it finally got to air, the series had wrapped shooting for so long, there was virtually no chance of getting all the principals back, even if it were a hit.

Well that's not really the situation here. They only started production on the new and improved The Inside in December.
Mooooooom! Tom's making me cry about the Tick again.
