Badfinger was another unlucky band.
I was going to mention them. Those sensitive Power Pop boys go right under: Badfinger, Material Issue, Gin Blossoms - songwriter suicides all of 'em.
'Jaynestown'
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

How many original memebers of Lynyrd Skynrd are left?
Punk is hazardous to your health.
Read that as pink. Was confused.
Hey, she copped to it in a song. Also, her debut video had her jumping a motorcycle between buildings and into her ex's apartment window in lieu of a Dear John letter. I think the hazard probably applies.
I honestly don't want to be loading CDs on the fly while I'm driving down the freeway
You mean in some setup more complex than a standard CD player? Like into iTunes?
I wouldn't want to be doing iTunes fiddling myself. It's very seductive to think "Oh, I can just do this, no problem." I have to work to not get sucked into that. And the more CPU power+interface in my car, the more stuff I'll swear I can do safely.
They have these cool things that they'll install in the factories in most cars these days. I think they call them CD players.
Ah, I was pointing out the virtues of adding the Mac Mini to your car over just an iPod, and giving examples of what it had over the iPod, not comparing it to the radio/CD player. I was merely pointing out that it had the possibilities.
The CD could have MP3s on it, too. Very few car CD players can play MP3 discs.
I would also point out that I am offering these as an opinion as to why the people who intend to install a Mac Mini might want to do so, not why I would want to do so.
Mostly because my car cost 1/2 that of the mac Mini ten years ago, and because I'm broke and in no way situated to purchase or even consider such high-falutin devices...
Ironically, I have a car stereo with a cd player, and no car.
That's OK, milady.
t sings "I've got a brand new pair of rollerskates, and you've got a brand new key."

Heh.
I'm disappointed that my '73 Mercury does not have 8-track. Because then I could use an 8-track to cassette adaptor, and then put a cassette adapter in that to connect to my iPod.

My Focus does (with an aftermarket CD/MP3 player). No way to hook an iPod to that, though. I want everything to be able to connect to my iPod.
Perkins' BWM comes loaded with an iPod that you can manipulate through the steering wheel. Sweeeeeet.
I think they come loaded with the hookup, not with the iPod. I seem to recall her taking it in to have them conjoined.
I was so crushed when somebody explained to me that that song wasn't about rollerskates.
