Ironically, I have a car stereo with a cd player, and no car.
Heh.
I'm disappointed that my '73 Mercury does not have 8-track. Because then I could use an 8-track to cassette adaptor, and then put a cassette adapter in that to connect to my iPod.
Very few car CD players can play MP3 discs.
My Focus does (with an aftermarket CD/MP3 player). No way to hook an iPod to that, though. I want everything to be able to connect to my iPod.
Perkins' BWM comes loaded with an iPod that you can manipulate through the steering wheel. Sweeeeeet.
I think they come loaded with the hookup, not with the iPod. I seem to recall her taking it in to have them conjoined.
I was so crushed when somebody explained to me that that song wasn't
about
rollerskates.

You would think that VW would have been all over that sooner. And, yet, no shiny iPod hookup in Charisse. I had to buy a Monster cable.

VW's aligned with another MP3 player (Phat Noise, IIRC), sadly.
Did you do your own installation?
See, I don't even consider Phat Noise an MP3 player. It's like a giant Zip drive that costs $800 (not including installation) and I can't strap to my arm when I'm doing housework.

I went with a super low tech option. I bought the monster cable that works through the casette player (which I've never actually used until now). I plug the cable into my mini iPod and then clip it to my seatbelt.
Ah -- I have the cassette player dealie too. The coolest is hooking the shuffle up to it when the shuffle's around my neck or in my pocket.
I'm a dork.
I looked into the Belkin cup holder option but I only have two cup holders up front and one is reserved for my ashtray and one is reserved for my latte and that leaves me fresh out of cup holders.
gapes horrified by the thought of Kristen buying a car without a separate dashboard ashtray...
