I do wish that they'd leak a little tiny bit about the series, at least launch the site, get people good and buzzy about it. But if they're going to launch in the Fall, that would be premature, I think.
I don't see how an "In Development" or "Coming Soon" page could possibly hurt them. The worst it could do is get a few people looking forward to the show possibly leading to some free word-of-mouth publicity. As long as it doesn't look like the Point Pleasant page, which is just pointless and annoying.
I would really adore a production diary on the site, too. That's something that can be done now. Still, I understand waiting for an airdate before anything happens.
I'm just really itching to discuss the show, I miss the sort of meaty Buffy/Angel discussions of olde. This show will inspire them, and I'm all about the escapism.
Think of it this way, Betsy -- you could hate it. So no use doing the work ahead of time.
I use the word "really" a lot. I should switch to very.
Trying to think of what my dreamsite would look like. Production blog, shooting scripts available for download after an episode airs, pics, links to iTunes for music in the eps, oh, and I get named Queen of the Message Board. This is not a moderator position, only an understanding that I rule.
When you posted you would have a gold crown above your name, right?
No, no, it'd be a middle finger with a ruby ring.
