Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

If I only had a brain...

I'm on the Nothing I Like Ever Succeeds footstool. (Of course, there's Lost.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you decide to mourn a show you've never seen and that hasn't been cancelled, it's possible you're working too hard.

Have a cupcake instead.

Sweetie, did you forget where you are. We have a plush, reclining sectional right over here. Get offa that hard, old footstool.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Don't think there's any reason to whimper.

Tim took his time, he reshot scenes on the pilot so that it would be perfect, and I guess if I could speculate (I have no actual knowledge, me = stupid) it would seem that the higher ups at the network have really let him take his time to craft this, which leads me to believe that they really believe in it.

So, I don't know what will happen. Maybe it will launch in the Summer, maybe it will launch in the Fall.

I do wish that they'd leak a little tiny bit about the series, at least launch the site, get people good and buzzy about it. But if they're going to launch in the Fall, that would be premature, I think.

I don't know, I'm just talking bullshit instead of admitting that I have no real information.

Allyson, maybe if you were talking to people who didn't know you, know you're not that, and who respect your credibility. Don't do that to yourself, here.

no.

a cupcake sounds good, but I had a slurpee instead.

I can't be fatalistic about a show that hasn't started. I've already dropped the recording of 3 shows so far this season, so my guess is that sometyhing strong will be able to pull a good audience.

I think the fatalistic feelings are all about FOX reaping what they have sown, in terms of audience confidence.

However, when fans get all, "oh, so this will be canceled, then," it creates a self-fulfilling prophecy.
