Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Why not a cab, vw?

Mostly lurking...

Oh, shit. I totally posted this in the wrong thread. I'm gonna move it. But, thank you Allyson. That's a good idea.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I occasionally take a cab here, when I have lots of shopping or the weather is icky. It's probably less than the delivery fee. It felt kind of weird at first, but it's not bad.

It's a fair cop.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

When I lived in NYC a cab was the only option for big shopping trips. Walk there and cab back.

Nilly - that is such great news! Thank you for sharing it with us!

And I get a Firefly toaster - just hooked a co-worker who left a voicemail saying he's hooked hooked hooked, and this is the coolest thing ever with the funny and the style and he's only three episodes in and is going to be so sad when they are all over.

I think I told him about the BDM, but will be sure to reassure him next time I see him.

My tagline and life are a work in progress.

Yay for Firefly in Israel! I wish I knew someone there so that I could tell them now. Because that feeling of wanting to watch a movie on TV even if I own the DVD? I generally also want to pick up the phone and call whatever friend it was who I first saw it with so I can share the love. My problem is that for quite a while now I've been watching TV and movies that my friends don't quite get. I need new friends. Anyway, Nilly, when you feel like you're babbling to too many people about the wonder of Firefly, tell yourself you're just telling one person for each of us.

I finally watched Muffin Buffalo and Lovesick Ass last night. Just seeing new (to me) Wonderfalls on screen made me grin from the second Muffin Buffalo started playing but Lovesick Ass? Pretty close to perfection. I'm in love all over again. And sad all over again, of course, because it is no more. Also, Jem is playing very, very near me tomorrow night and I can't go. So very sad.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Also, Jem is playing very, very near me tomorrow night and I can't go. So very sad.

Aw, man! Do you have the CD? Isn't it great? "Wish I" is like the happiest song ever.
