Well, if we followed the recipe...should be cake. A demon-violence-free-zone cake.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

In rare occasions, fervent exclamation point use is warranted, Nilly. I'd say punctuate away, dear!

Thanks, Lilty. Also, I probably should have posted this in the "Firefly" thread. Or UnAmerican. Hmm. Silly brain.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I couldn't sleep last night, so I watched Serenity and The Train Job. Nodded off at the end, right around the part where Adam says it'll be "an interesting day" when the money is good enough to turn on Mal.

Which reminded me that it'll be an interesting day when Tim admits I'm right and he's wrong.

I'm so stoked about Firefly in Israel.

Allyson is with me! Yay!

You know how it's like, when you have a movie on tape, and still you can't not watch when it's on TV, even when you know you can put the tape inside the VCR at any given moment and watch it? That's like what I feel now, only without the actual showing of anything yet. It's the preview of that.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Firefly in Israel? What fantastic news!

Looks around for exclamation points to abuse.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found a few spare e's too. Let's hear it for the most prevalent vowel in the English language!!!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Which reminded me that it'll be an interesting day when Tim admits I'm right and he's wrong.

About what?

Did the Israeli subtitler understands that the definition of "Shiny" as used on Firefly was made up? Why not simply use the equivilent Hebrew word?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You know how it's like, when you have a movie on tape, and still you can't not watch when it's on TV, even when you know you can put the tape inside the VCR at any given moment and watch it?

Yeeees. It's like, "Hey, it's on TV! I mean...I have the DVDs, and I could watch it without commercials and without my favorite lines having been edited out...but it's on TV!"

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, when it's on TV, it's like... an event, that millions (or hundreds of thousands) are participating in....

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Are they showing everything, including the 3 that didn't air in the US? And is it going to be in the correct order?

Also, I'm curious - how censorious (if that's a word) is Israeli TV?

About anything.
