[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I was hoping Kristin was going to be right, but I was pretty sure ita or someone else was going to come say that.

Sigh.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Really, Allyson? And they had no idea when they came up with the name? How random.

Actually, apparently this happens with greater frequency than expected. Some guy was on NPR talking about how his name, exact spelling was used in a murder mystery set in a town where he lived (smallish town if I recall) and when he wrote the author about the randomness, she snipped that it happened frequently.

Alibelle, WRT the quick fix. I like to think it was made up for by the awesome ambulance scene.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Boys are stupid. Throw rocks at them.

You don't know how many times I used to say this to people. :) I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I finished watching the Wonderfalls DVD set.

"Cocktail Bunny" was the third greatest hour of television I've ever seen (behind "Hush" and "The Body"). However, I'd kinda like to pretend "Barrel Bear" never happened. But overall, the show's great. I liked it more than Firefly.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

UPS called me and told me my WF DVDs would be delivered between 6:00 and 7:30 PM today. So I stayed more than two hours late at work again today.

Now it turns out that the driver says the package could not be delivered because we (my work address) had moved.

THE RECEIVER HAS MOVED. UPS ATTEMPTING TO LOCATE RECEIVER TO COMPLETE DELIVERY, NO DELIVERY WAS MADE

WTF?!?!?

So I stayed late two nights in a row and UPS fucked up twice. I've wasted five hours so far waiting for the DVDs.

Bastards!!!!!

Tommyrot, time to call UPS and ream them out but good.

That driver needs to get his head out of his ass.

They're supposed to call me back tomorrow morning. I think I'll demand to know: Why can't they deliver the package to me? And why did the driver lie twice about why s/he didn't deliver the package to me?

I've also contacted Amazon and demanded that they refund me the shipping charges.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Some guy was on NPR talking about how his name, exact spelling was used in a murder mystery set in a town where he lived (smallish town if I recall) and when he wrote the author about the randomness, she snipped that it happened frequently.

The character also was from his neighborhood. I loved that piece and his little existential crisis.

Got the DVDs Saturday. Finished them all yesterday. I only have commentary to look forward to.
