Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

UPS called me and told me my WF DVDs would be delivered between 6:00 and 7:30 PM today. So I stayed more than two hours late at work again today.

Now it turns out that the driver says the package could not be delivered because we (my work address) had moved.

THE RECEIVER HAS MOVED. UPS ATTEMPTING TO LOCATE RECEIVER TO COMPLETE DELIVERY, NO DELIVERY WAS MADE

WTF?!?!?

So I stayed late two nights in a row and UPS fucked up twice. I've wasted five hours so far waiting for the DVDs.

Bastards!!!!!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Tommyrot, time to call UPS and ream them out but good.

That driver needs to get his head out of his ass.

They're supposed to call me back tomorrow morning. I think I'll demand to know: Why can't they deliver the package to me? And why did the driver lie twice about why s/he didn't deliver the package to me?

I've also contacted Amazon and demanded that they refund me the shipping charges.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Some guy was on NPR talking about how his name, exact spelling was used in a murder mystery set in a town where he lived (smallish town if I recall) and when he wrote the author about the randomness, she snipped that it happened frequently.

The character also was from his neighborhood. I loved that piece and his little existential crisis.

Got the DVDs Saturday. Finished them all yesterday. I only have commentary to look forward to.

Kat, do you mean the awesome ambulance scene where the murderer is run over by the ambulance? Because that really was awesome. But I don't think it quite makes up for the quick fix because I didn't care about that storyline nearly as much as I cared about the others .

Also, did the ending of "Totem Mole" kind of bother anyone else?

I realize I'm being really critical. I really did love them, just to be clear.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

If I remember correctly, from the discussion in the "Lovesick" thread, "Safety Canary" and "Totem Mole" were the least favorite episodes of several of the Buffistas.

Haven't gotten around to my discs yet, dammit. But they are mine. MINEMINEMINE!!!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I liked the ending to Totem Mole, although I think that the it could have been stronger. It's bits of the middle that I properly disliked. Well, apart from the krav, of course. That was perfect, if mispronounced.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

What was it that people disliked about it? It wasn't one of my favorites, but I did like that, unlike what would've happened on some shows, Sharon didn't best Littlefoot. Littlefoot didn't get some comuppance for being such a wench.
