The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

Mmm, sing it Allyson! I'm ALL about the melty cheese.

I realized that my DVD shipment was being held up by an obscure 60's Japanese CD that was in the same order, so I cancelled and re-ordered Wonderfalls separately. Since it conveniently beat the Free Shipping cutoff all by itself. (I've found that sometimes depending on stock Amazon can ship things amazingly fast even with Free Shipping.) And I used some of my Xmas gift cert to buy it, too - so it ended up costing me $4.48.

Etclarify my obscure it

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I didn't ask to be sent Lee Pace. I asked to be able to watch Lee Pace be gainfully employed and entertain me. Lying? Inasmuch as it's his job description.

It's much easier for me to fix my own food (in fact, I made pizza from scratch yesterday) than it is for me to act out fiction for my entertainment.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Allyson made me want pizza.

All the rest of you are making me want dvd's.

It's possible I would've wanted these things without you guys, but y'all are making it really impossible to ignore these wantings.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It's much easier for me to fix my own food (in fact, I made pizza from scratch yesterday) than it is for me to act out fiction for my entertainment.

We have opposing problems. We should get married, and together we'll make a complete person.

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

I think you both make good arguments. Can't we just have it all?

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

This morning I finished Disc 1. That means, in just a few short minutes, after I fix myself a cup of tea and get into my jammies, I have NEW WONDERFALLS.

It was worth the wait. I'm digging being back in this world. I missed it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

OOOH! I remember there were some disagreements about the correct order of episodes - could somebody link or post the generally decided on correct order (and other orders dictated by powers that be) so we can compare to the DVD order in the box set?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Dammit, Hastings hadn't put out the Wonderfalls DVDs that theoretically arrived last night. And the clerk who told me they must still be in the back was perplexingly unable to call someone and have them bring a set to the sales counter. Apparently, either the storefront and the stockroom are at war, or there's an invisible canyon/moat/Burmese tiger trap perventing them from moving merchandise out to where the people that want to buy it are.

I would so be buying from their competitors tonight if I didn't have $30 of credit there.

Just low blood sugar. Ate a Snickers. Thanks for coming.

Bought 'em on the way in to work. Watched 'em straight through when I got home. 10 to 3 in the morning, and I'm in a weird place emotionally. Happy and sad at the same time. Damn, that was so good it hurts all over again that it got cancelled. Can there be some more please? Fox sucks.
