Mal was killed in War Stories, no?
Prolly not joking.
'Safe'
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I'm calling "probably is" on account of Joss doesn't let things slip unintentionally, and there'd be no reason for him to spoil something like that on purpose.
At the end of season four, I asked Fury for a spoiler about season five. He said, "Joyce dies."
I mean, who'd believe that?
I'm not a spoiler phobe, so, I care not. Some people don't want to know if the actresses will be wearing lipstick. I'm all for organizing things as such when they appear spoilery. Don't hurt.
If he dies, then he dies. Isn't it cool that we have no clue whether we are being lied to or not?
Enh. If I end up knowing all that happens, I'll be okay with it.
Where is the fun, Allyson?
You mean on being spoiled v. unspoiled?
I mean on not truly knowing which is which.
Oh. Hm. I don't really care enough to have fun with it. I won't have much care in my heart until I'm watching it, or reading it.
I'm still in the "relieved that the 'verse is getting a last hurruh" phase of my fannishness, you know? And so, until I read it or see it, the speculation or bits of info here and there are meaningless. Without context, it's just noise to me.
"Joyce dies" is meaningless all alone, but the episode as a whole was the most important television I'd ever seen. I'm not explaining it well.
I get it. i know what you are saying. At the same time....
lighten up and celebrate that it is happening. You had not a small part to do with it happening and I for one, thank you!
