...because God knows you need some satisfaction in life besides shagging Captain Cardboard! And I never really liked you anyway. And you have stupid hair!

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Art Crawl!!!

Are you talking about the EW article?

It says that she talked to the producers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Does that mean they're releasing a different final episode from the one I saw? The producers' about next season is one thing. What I saw categorically had no cliffhanger. Except in the "where do they go from here?" sense, and the "will we get to see Aaron shirtless" sense.

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, she spoke to the producers -- perhaps this was what the producers were planning to do in season 2 -- not what was shown in season 1 at all.

I mean, would it have been possible given what was shown?

I do not know.

I was fine when existence had no meaning. Meaninglessness in a universe that has no meaning -- that I get. But meaninglessness in a universe with meaning? What does that mean?

Yeah, it was one of the possible spoilers for season two, but the "condition" was never mentioned in season one. Weird (and irritating) that she'd phrase it as if it was.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

That's a horrible idea. Dear god. Why? Is it supposed to be amusing in some way?

I need a shower. And to scrub my brain.

[insert something funny here]

I have been away from the Minearverse for too long...

...and can't really stay now, as work will wake me in a few hours.

[trying not to be tempted hints of WF spoilage]

Will try and catch up on a months worth of loosely Tim-based posts soon, and maybe try and say something interesting.... Or at least get round to watching the *cough* rest of the WF Season.... then I may allow myself entry to the Spoiler thread!

On a totally off-topic note (Unless Tim perhaps hid behind the sofa from the Daleks as a child), I seem to be peculiarly excited about the upcoming new series of Doctor Who...

[reads post so far and decides brain is not up to it]

love to all. back soon. I hope.

random "I'm still alive" post over.x

[goes to eat cheese]

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh. I finally bothered to get the Heinlein from the library. But it's gotta wait until I finish the Douglas Coupland stuff I couldn't make myself buy and the Gaiman.

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

Just got back from a well-deserved week of doing nothing in Mexico (aka vacation) and even though the hotel was swank and the margaritas cold, the absolute best thing that happened was the Fox affiliate SHOWED WONDERFALLS!!! Not just any episode, but "Crime Dog"!! I was in the bath and I literally leapt out and danced for joy. This was at like midnight, so I'm glad I was up and happened to have the TV on.

Fox affiliate in Los Cabos on the Baja, I love you.

They also showed Buffy at least twice a day, and I caught more than one Angel , AND one Firefly (pilot). There were Spanish subtitles but no dubbing, thank god. (Although randomly the commercials were, so the Simpsons became even more self-referential.)

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Who is moving to Cabo with me?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Wow. Joss and Tim have a fan in Mexico. A fan who programs syndicated television.
