No studying? Damn! Next thing they'll tell me is I'll have to eat jelly doughnuts or sleep with a supermodel to get things done around here. I ask you, how much can one man give?

Angel 5: Is That It? Am I Done?

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Is this the setup of a lawyer joke?

Nope.

It's the set up for me wondering how likely it is for bon bon to run into someone I knew in high school. I don't know why I've been thinking about this.

Aww, man. Best salt-shaker-wielder ever.

Better than Tim?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

My dad made a point of mentioning, in his toast at my wedding, that there are more lawyers in NYC than there are rats. Which is all the more disturbing when you realise your average New Yorker is hardly ever more than six metres away from a rat.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Better than Tim?

Arc-ier than Tim. Tim is unparalleled at the shocking and brutal death scenes. Joss is more about setting up a whole universe where no matter what happens, it'll hurt.

So Joss is kind of like a gentle version of Devin Grayson?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I agree with Amy. Tim can do wonders in 42 minutes of pulling you in and tearing you holes in places you didn't even know you had.

Joss does the slow creep of doom, the drums just lower than you can hear, but still you go into the dark forest.

Tim'll make the daylight hurt you.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

"Lonely Hearts", and the catch in Angel's voice when he says "Because that's what lonely people do."

That's where they had me.

I've lived to bury my desires,/And see my dreams corrode with rust;/Now all that left are fruitless fires/That burn my empty heart to dust.

Best moments:

Wes shooting his "father".

Illyria.

All things Doyle.

"To the Angelmobile!"

(edited to add:)

Cordy and Dennis at the end of Rm.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

About 90,000, Plei.

T'ISH MAGEV (impostor): You're deeply ambivalent.
ANGEL: Well... I am and I'm not.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

"Sometimes we're laconic."
The Groosalug's one moment of sneakiness.
"Hi, Dad."
"I'll take away your bucket."
"I'm going to tear you a new puppethole, bitch."
"Our rats are low . . . ."
