Angel 5: Is That It? Am I Done?

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Getting back to 24 for a minute, I just wanted to rant that I saw a preview and it proves that Fox's promo people are dipping into the same monkey crack as the WB's. They had a "By the end of tonight's episode, two of these people will be dead", or words to that effect, and then they flashed just about all the major characters this season except for Terror!Brit (I think). I guess people dying on 24 isn't a big surprise, but did they have to specify a number? I mean some of the characters - Jack (definitely), Pres. Palmer (probably), Spawn the Indestructable (not a smidgen of doubt) - are obviously safe. So I'm betting on Terror!Brit's daughter will buy it, probably caught in a crossfire (I don't think after Chapelle that they'll make Jack kill her deliberately), and for another I'm going out on a limb and guessing that Principle Hottie finally deals with Lady McP...permanently.

What is even happening?

Frank, Scott is reading over my shoulder and strongly agrees with your second guess re * Principal McHottie taking out Lady McP. Of course, I had to translate (he then laughed like heck, once I explained, though). He thinks Saunder's daughter is going to bite it too, but he thinks they're really going to put her in Plague!Hotel.

eta...

current season "24" speculation based on promos, behind the white font. No future spoilers (I don't spoil for 24). Stompies, delete with abandon, if inappropriate.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Augh! Whitefont!

Edit: Not Angel whitefont? Okay. Never mind.

Wednesday better come soon.

What is even happening?

Sorry for the scare, Dana. Not Angel, and not future spoilers for 24. I thought we were in Natter, though. What's the procedure? Can it stay, or should we transfer it?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Speaking of 24, I went to a gala last night, and Dennis Haysbert was one of the presenters/hosts swoon even sexier live.

I whitefonted because while it's speculation, some of it touches on the 24 episode from last week, and I thought NAFDA was two weeks at least for shows not named in the thread?

But I'll go with whatever the consensus is.

Cindy, I usually hate the TWoP-Style nicknames, but for some reason the ones for 24 really make me laugh. Glad I could give Scott a chuckle.

Oh and I like his guess that they'll bring her to Plague Hotel. My prediction on that one is that Saunders has already somehow inoculated her.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What's wrong with buying EW?

I subscribe. I love my EW. I even got my letter to the editor quoted a month ago. I was so happy.

brillig

The radio ads I'm hearing for 24 would bear out some of the whitefont. Whitefonted for the hell of it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I even got my letter to the editor quoted a month ago.

Which issue? Which letter?

I adore EW. I realised I was getting jealous of Kat's copies, so I ponied up for a subscription.

Pick up #756, with Chris Rock on the cover, and turn to page 8.

Owen Glieberman and Lisa Schwarzbaum's debate of the great race also deserved ovations. Sunil Patel of Ann Arbor, Mich., says, "'Critic vs. Critic' was one of the most intelligent and thought-provoking pieces I've ever read in EW." The same couldn't be said for...

My comment was edited and streamlined, and it's only a tiny mention, but it was still pretty cool. I'm not counting it towards my Life Goal of getting mentioned in EW.
