No, but there is a featurette, called "Hey, Kids, It's Smile Time!" on the 1st disc.
That featurette is TOO short. I wanted a whole "this is how we did it" in detail, darnit. Plus, I wanted to know how often the cast cracked up. It looks like they were barely able to hold a straight face during the Slo-Mo Power Walk.
During the interview with Puppet!Angel, he says that he got the gig because he looks just like David Boreanaz.
That made be giggle.
I found that all of the commentaries were enjoyable and informative except for "You're Welcome". Sarah Thompson should not have been on that one. It should have at least included Charisma Carpenter and David Boreanaz because of the callback to Season 1 with the Doyle video and references to Angel's original mission - help the helpless without compromising values.
ETA: I'm annoyed that the gag reel did not
contain more clips of the current season, especially from Smile Time and they repeated some clips from previous seasons.
There's an excellent review of the Season Five DVDs at dvdverdict.com--they give Angel one of their rare "jury verdicts," meaning more than one of their critics chimes in on the review. This one is good because the two secondary reviewers take a look at the series as a whole; the final reviewer calls Angel "the Ultimate Noir TV Series."
FCC rejects complaint involving 'Angel':
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A love scene from the canceled TV show "Angel" that showed a female character turning into a vampire and biting her partner's neck did not overstep federal indecency rules, the Federal Communications Commission ruled Friday... The episode aired at 9 p.m. EST on November 19, 2003.
That would make it "Destiny". Not sure why this one was chosen from the many many moments during the five seasons which riled someone's sensibilities.
I suspect it was a case of, "Ooh, that's hot--it must be banned."
The complaint was filed with DC's WB affiliate.
I thought we were a bit more progressive than that.

Maybe it came from the White House. After all, wouldn't want the give the girls any ideas about naughty behavior.
I'm starting to watch my S5 dvds, and wishing they had cast a different actress as Eve, since the part had so much potential that the actress didn't deliver on, when it hit me that, if she weren't already busy, Amy Acker would have been really good in the role.
Yeah, so would Stephanie Romanov. Also? Sara(h?) Brown(e?) who played the original Carly Manning on General Hospital. That role was written for her, and it is likely that nobody who could have done anything about it had any idea.
As much as I adore SR, I think she would have been wrong for the role, which to me seemed like it was supposed to be this tiny cute little chick who looked like she's be easy to snap like a twig, who was a total bad ass on the inside, who could have been either good or evil or both.
