Angel 5: Is That It? Am I Done?

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

Early reports say TC and Arrested Development have both been renewed.

Tru Calling?!

Is there no justice?!!

Well, obviously the big mistake Tim made was not setting the entire credits sequence of Wonderfalls to Jaye running endlessly wearing no bra. IJS.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

She's written and acted to be the character you want bad things to happen to. It's perversely satisfying that she just. won't. die.

I think the actress is OK, it's just an AWFUL part. I can't think of ANYONE who could redeem some of the stupidity that is Kim Bauer. Although it would be fun to watch Judi Densch try.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

The early reports I've read say Arrested Development ain't coming back. I hope yours are right.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I would love to tell Fox where to stick it, but I've been watching The Simpsons, Arrested Development, and the teevee heroin that is The OC. T'would make me sad to see Arrested Development go. Maybe they could film a new opening with Jason Bateman running in the rain.......

Yeah, it's time for bed now.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I can't think of ANYONE who could redeem some of the stupidity that is Kim Bauer.

Which is exactly how Elisha Cuthbert wants you to feel.

GAH. I just watched the Angel finale. I went from snarking at the unfinished effects to incredibly depressed it was over in about a second and a half.

I miss my show.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

>Duchovny is east coast, and Gillian Anderson is general mix, since she spent much of her childhood in England and Minnesota. This is probably why a lot people just guess she's Canadian.

Michigan, not Minnesota. Her early childhood was in England, middle and high school in MI and college in Chicago.

Speaking of X-Files... I just watched "The Making of The Truth " on the season 9 DVDs. Adam Baldwin is funny. (And you thought I was off topic!)

... and that's a Pantera's box you don't want to open. - Mister Furious

Right. I flatly refuse to allow such paltry things as network schedules and spoler-free convictions to deprive me of all the end of thread limerick fun. Nuts to that.

Fourteen hearts lie on the floor
A confused man stares at a door
Then off comes his jewelery
And end to tomfoolery
A beginning to the settling of scores

So this beautiful girl named Cordelia
Can someone tell me what's the dealia?
From the Queen of Mean
to two romances obscene
At least she got one good ep for a 'See ya'

Fred's insides were burned into smoke
By The Thing Buried Under The Oak
She asked 'Why can't I stay?'
But she had to make way
For The Thing That Wears Fred Like A Cloak

A Limerick's the appropriate form
For discussing this green fellow, Lorne
Wit and style aplenty
but in a deeper sense? Empty
Now the norm for that poor bastard Lorne

A vampire named Angel or Angelus
By either name apparently dangerous
Is he all set to mangle?
Or just working an angle
To clean up the streets of Los Angeles

Way back, Spike was evil indulgent
Even now, not big with atonement
But I spy with my eye
A worse poet than I
With verse cromulently effulgent

There once was ponce nemed Wesley
'Til the Council came over all testy
Fired, tortured, betrayed
Sleep deprived 'til he raved
Now he staggers toward bloody destiny

(Yeah. He's so very, very dead.)

brillig

Entertainment Weekly--what? It was in teh break room, it's not like I buy the thing--has an interview with Joss. He says mean things about Fox and the WB, and he's happy about the Serenity movie, but he seems fairly resigned to nothing else happening with the Buffyverse other than an animated series maybe. This is depressing, along with DB and others talking about things they won't do and all their plans for moving on etc. Yes, I know the way of the world, yes, I know actors need to work, but ...

It hurts that it's almost over, OK?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What's wrong with buying EW? It's a fun mag.

But wasn't this the article where he slags modern novels?
