Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dude, I love the show (and those episodes), but whyinhell can't people be cold on them?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Did you even watch the whole show? You cannot be "eh" about "War Stories" or "Out of Gas" or "Objects In Space."

To someone who doesn't like the concept, I'm more than certain that those would be JUST as eh, feh, or meh as any of it.

To say otherwise is as silly as saying that you cannot be "eh" about "A Hole in the World."

Which, I assure you, is MORE than possible.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I loved War Stories, and Out of Gas, but was a little on the 'meh' side for Objects in Space.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

To someone who doesn't like the concept, I'm more than certain that those would be JUST as eh, feh, or meh as any of it.

(I did like the concept. It was the execution that failed to work for me.)

Also, shutting up now.

Fair 'nough.

Concept OR execution. Or any combination of the above.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I figure if I can be eh on The Beatles, Firefly may fail to move some folk.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Don't tell me what I can't do.

I was telling Teppy what to do.

It was the execution that failed to work for me.

This is crazy talk, however. The writing, acting, design, cinematography, direction - all superior.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

Actually, I think the rest of the world mainly lives in the Kingdom of What's That, Some Television Show?

Which is, coincidentally, much the point we recently made when trying to get the Firefly thread back on topic. And failing, but so it goes; roleplaying The Rest Of The World was quite fun.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I loved War Stories, and Out of Gas, but was a little on the 'meh' side for Objects in Space.

But, but, but...

Okay, I can see it, even if you are wronger than a wrong thing from Wrongsville, and also dead to me.
