Honestly, if someone gave me a green lantern ring I'd take that too. I'd be able to fly, understand any language, survive in hostile environments, and make things with my mind.
Oh, me too. I actually kind of dig GL a lot, to be honest. I mean, I've spent most of this week bitching that you can't find good sterling GL ring repros in chick sizes, and I know the oath, plus, err... my GL collection is kind of large. It's not Batfam in size, but it's larger than my GA collection.
I'm all kinds of nervous about the "Serious" Space Ghost mini that's coming out. It seems like a train wreck waiting to happen.
I haven't read GL in a while, but for a while I was a Kilowog fangirl and adopted "Poozer" into my vocabulary in quite a while.
Currently my love is an animated one.
There are so many lame heroes that I think GL gets an unfair shake.
That picture is priceless!
I too am a GL fan, just for the record.
GL seems to be well liked. My husband's family was visiting this past Saturday so we stopped in at the huge Toys R Us in Times Square and they had a pretty nice superhero area with these framed cartoon images from the JL. My husband ran straight for the GL one.

Winick did wonders with Kyle. And John, for that matter. Which means, of course, I'm actually invested in
who dies in Identity Crisis, just in case it's Kyle,
which seems likely.
Never read the comics. Thought the old Super Friends GL was lame but the current animated JLA GL kicks ass. Though the fact that his name is John Stewart always gives me pause since my first association of that name is with the comedian. Agree with ita's assessment, though, that if he had the yellow weakness he'd just beat the yellow-wearing mook senseless with his fists or other handy objects.

Me, too, especially since GL seems so uniformly humorless.

He was a GL in the comic-verse as well. I don't like the animated GL at all. I think he's horribly done and unimaginative with the use of his power. Block. Wall. Dome. That's about it for his repertoire.

Is this like the "Serious" Sealab 2021 where they just had the new voices over a condensed version of one of the old Sealab 2020 episode? Or is this a comic book, or ?
Speaking of Space Ghost CTC and Sealab 2021, has anyone seen Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law? Done by the same guys (at least, the ones who do SGCTC) it is hysterical. Well worth watching if you have TiVo or are very, very alert (same kind of deal as the other two - 15 minute eps that air completely randomly as far as I can tell).
[ETA way upstream in some thread, may have been this one, it was mentioned that the Sealab 2021 theme rocks. I don't know if I was caught up in time to brag namedrop mention that I know the girl who wrote & sings it. Her band is called calamine and they are great.]
