I was fine when existence had no meaning. Meaninglessness in a universe that has no meaning -- that I get. But meaninglessness in a universe with meaning? What does that mean?

I was avoiding this thread for a few days, but I saw the finale this evening (and loved it), so I'm in the clear now.

I'm asking people to avoid discussing it on the SaveWonderfalls boards, because it seems the majority of people (even in our spoiler section) don't want to know how the show ends, so I don't want to risk spoiling them. More importantly, though, Bryan occasionally checks those boards. Since he asked me to keep it quiet, I wouldn't feel right letting people on my forums discuss it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's fairly easy to stay unspoiled if that's what you want.

Hmm. I've never made it through a season unspoiled of Buffy or Angel. I was spoiled ahead of time for the remaining Wonderfalls eps, even though I never touched a script.

I wouldn't call it fairly easy.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

FWIW, I would like to be spoiled for the finale. But I love spoilers.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

since season five of Buffy i have been unspoiled except by jackasses that would come to beta and spoil guest stars and the like. i was adamant about not being spoiled for it. with Wonderfalls i didn't know when, if ever, i'd see the eps and i couldn't help myself. i read all the scripts and all the posts here. i stayed away when Kat warned about finale spoilers, but then i figured what the hell. i already knew everything else. *shrug*

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Bryan told me, specifically, not to spoil people for the finale

Okey. But he didn't tell me not to. So there. Said with love, of course, because I get that. I was offered the chance to recap all the episodes for Popgurls, which I would really immensely love to do (because, hey, love Popgurls, love writing about something I love, and need a cool project). But I ran it by Tim and he said no, so I'm not. Because it was Tim. So I get where you're coming from on your board, feeling like you made a personal promise and sticking to it.

But here we have a spoiler thread, and so, Jaye and Eric get together, Heidi-ho leaves town and divorces his sorry ass, Majandra and Aaron come out of the secret affair closet, and the wax lion lives.

Oh, I have no problem with people talking about it here -- I'd never presume to tell someone what to do on their own board. I just wanted to keep my promise to Bryan, and I have on my board, so I'm happy.

Do you think the Popgurls offer will still stand after the DVDs are released? I'd really like to read recaps by someone who actually likes the show.

I liked the finale. I'm happy with how it ended, and I'm fine with there only being the one season. I did want to see more Aaron/Mahandra stuff, though -- how Jaye reacted, what the parents had to say (they looked happy)... just stuff like that.

And I loved Heidi, in all of her episodes. Am I the only one?

I keep meaning to ask Tim again about recapping, but then I get distracted by shiny metal objects. I don't know, I'll have to ask the Gurlies.

But Cranberry, I assumed that you meant us in this post and that we shouldn't be talking about. Not to speak for Allyson or anything.

Oh, I was talking about you then... I was under the impression that whoever provided the DVDs you saw had asked you guys to keep it quiet, too, because a couple people here mentioned having seen the finale but wouldn't (and I thought couldn't) give details. So when I said "they're not allowed to spoil it," that's what I meant. That was back before everyone started discussing it here in detail.
