Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Pen, it's like I don't even know you anymore.

Pretty number with some 00s.

in other words, slumbernutting.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Are there any LAistas who'd be willing to get a Mold-a-Rama lion from the zoo for me, and bring it to the F2F? They're so *cute*.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can say now, re: the finale, that it does sort of make Eric look better. Rewatching a lot made me feel that Jaye is insane, aside from the whole tchotchkes thing (or because of it), and that there's pretty damned little practical motivation for him to stick to it with her.

I think he handles it badly, but mostly makes the right call.

I adore Aaron, and want one of my very own. He has a "sex look" and his very own pimp music, and when he gets obsessive he's smoking.

See, I read that as stick it to her and my mind went elsewhere.

As cute as he is sometimes, and as hot as he is with the injury and the weapon, I think I'm Aaron's bitch -- "So you're saying I'm delicious?"

Toothsome.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm irrationally protective of Jaye, and Jaye's insanity.

Eric knew what he was getting into from the start, and given Heidi, Eric really shouldn't be on Jaye's nut so much.

Her insanity is what made her so fascinating to him, and yet, also what he sort of wanted to demolish.

And also? Using Heidi-Ho to manipulate Jaye makes him not such the Prince Charming.

Contemplating new tagline.

No, no I think he didn't.

Jaye's erraticness as prompted by the tchotchkes is one thing. But that erraticness was also incrementally affecting her behaviour, and not all for the best. She uncrusted a lot wrt her family, but they were tearing her apart wrt him, and the stress of that made her act unpromptedly oddly.

He spent a lot of time watching her go "Oh, Eric, I need to ... never mind."

He might be in love with her, but I can see him deciding it's not working out.

I think he did a reasonable thing, in a bad way.

Yeah, I don't know that I agree with ita since I slept through a lot of the rewatch.

I definitely think there was a lot of stick it to her going on.

But Jaye IS CRAZY. And she was doing the dance of the mid-20's... with the I like you, don't I like you, I won't tell you I like you shit going on. But Eric was cruel. Asking her where the wedding chapel was when he remarried Heidi? So freakin' mean.

In the finale, the ambulance scene made me laugh so freakin' hard. Every. Time. It's because It's rough, it's harsh and it's really really shocking.

I also realized my favorite parts of Wonderfalls, the strongest episodes and the strongest bits revolve around the family dynamic. The weakest parts are the Eric parts.

I wanted a happy ending, and I wasn't sure I was going to get one.
