S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

That's not addressed just to SA. I guess I'm just trying to figure out if people's concept of the possible bucket threads is that they will be so precisely defined

No, I don't think they will be precisely defined. I guess I'm still caught up from six weeks ago, when this thing started, and I wanted to add discussion of The Riches to Premium. It wasn't that I thought the discussion would be nannied for being in there--it's just that I wanted the option on the table so it wouldn't *be* nannied.

Not unlike Natter, or like people want Natter to be. Have the option of discussing tv in Natter without being told the discussion is elsewhere, or explicitly is elsewhere (and not here).

I don't think bright lines challenges that--you can have a purpose for a thread, and stick to that purpose, while still allowing room for organic change and discussion, especially in something like Natter/tv threads. But I know others have different opinions on thread bright lines, so.

and that discussion would organically settle into a particular thread of its own accord.

I agree.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm definitely in the minority on this one, but I catch up on TDS a couple days behind everyone else

I suspect it's a bigger group than you think. I tend to watch TDS and TCR anywhere from a day to a week behind, and often two or three episodes at once. But I like to read the whitefont in Natter so I know what I have to look forward to.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Me too.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is my habit, also.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Moi aussi.

Except the change that you are supporting precisely allowed nannying to happen in Natter.

Frankly, I think asking what the goal of all of this is valid and interesting because it seems like, from all sides mine included, the goal is to make the threads operate in the way most satisfying to each individual.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I think the nannying only occurred because no one nannied the nannier. Hopefully, now that this has been pointed out a number of times, it'll work out right.

Concur. And I think that's one of the positive effects of this discussion. Natter is a non-nannying zone. You can natter about anything in Natter.

If people want to white font discuss Grey's Anatomy in Natter, that's totally kosher and does not need to be redirected to any potential drama threads.

Word. If someone comes into Natter and asks "Where are we talking about X?", then direction can be given. Otherwise, if someone wants to come into Natter and talk about any TV, they should be allowed.

(Of course, I'm not sure that that concept reflects our current attitude toward certain shows that have a home (I'm thinking of Boxed Set).)
