We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

There should be some kind of compromise between having whitefont for 24 hours and for 1 week.

But that pre-supposes that we can catch up with every show in a bucket within a week. If that works for the majority, fine, but it wouldn't work for me personally. YMMV.

In terms of Bones/Rescue/Law&Order, etc., I don't think of them as arc-y shows, particularily. While there are some arcs, each show can also be viewed as a stand-alone. I'd be fine with them in a bucket thread.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I like the idea of polls too. I'd like to get a solid idea of what we all need and want.

I don't think there's any way we're going to be able to make everyone happy, though.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I would argue that Rescue Me is very arc-y. At least it used to be when I was able to keep up with it. Now it's in my netflix queue somewhere around #250. But I am posting to agree with Kristin. I think separating between arc and no-arc is an elegant solution. Now we just have to argue on what arcs and what doesn't. But also my opinion shouldn't carry too much weight as I never got a chance to check out the TV threads while they were open.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, here's a poll. Buffista TV issues Let me know if you see anything that should be changed, and I'll link it in Press.

Thrive to spite them

Maybe I mentioned the wrong shows. What about Gray's Anatomy or Desparate Housewives, those are arcy shows but I don't think there would be enough interest in them for those to have their own threads.

I think it's really important to find out the time frame people watch tv. Because if the majority of people watch their tv shows within a few days then that's what we need to be building the threads around. If the majority of people take a week or two to catch up, then fine, we'll build threads around that.

Jesse, this may be just being picky, but "discussing tv shows in Natter excludes me from the discussion" was ambiguous at first read. Could we break that question into 2 parts: excludes me from the tv discussion, and from discussing something else while the tv discussion is going on.

Because the latter was how I usually felt about it.

Sure, I'll edit, even though I think the upshot is "I don't want TV discussions in Natter."

Oops -- I take it back because people have already voted, so I don't want to add choices.

Eh. No big. I think you're right about the upshot of it.
